Haven't listened to this in almost ten years... yer on a roll, Zad.
Neither bands best material, but it is a good solid release from two of the better bands of that particular time and place.
Good work.

Excellent review Zad, I think you described what to expect on this album perfectly. Lots of good riffs, lots of muddy production, and lots of good memories about the birth of a tremendous sound.

Cheers, guys. A great split, one I've been aware of for many years and one I've liked for nearly as long, yet for some reason it's taken this long to write it up. Better late than never, though.

I can see why it would be hard to write this review: hard not to dwell forward in time, hard not to wonder why those bad keys on this split somehow work (your review made me listen again now, of course).

I've not heard this and now that I know it exists I'm gonna have to find it asap. I'm particularly hyped to hear some older Enslaved (their best style imo) that I haven't already listened to a million times.
