Yes, I posted about these guys recently. Definitely a band I need to explore further. Thank you for the reminder!

Yeah, after I checked them out again, I was pretty impressed. At least it is the exact direction I am taking my music listening in.

Because I think Iowa and All Hope is gone are fantastic albums.

I've got about 20 pounds of fat on top of a pro wrestler's frame. I'm part Indian, so there is no chance of getting rid of this gut. Even If I were down to 4% body fat, which I have been at one time, I would still have a protruding gut, which has nothing to do with fat, but with body type. I'm about 75% lean bodybuilder type and 25% short round and fat type.

Been listening to this album for a couple months now. More people need to discover this band.

I'm still wondering what prompted these comments.

That would have been obvious if you had clicked the link.

Hmm... this is interesting. I was about to post "This just sounds like Adagio and countless other colorless power/prog bands."

Then a great piano solo came in. I'll listen more. I think that this band might have more to offer, but not when compared to what others are doing in the genre. I hope that I am wrong and that I can soon thank you for a great band.

I don't know what to think sometimes. I hear a band like Freedom Call and tried to listen to Strato and was sitting there wondering what the fuck the point of those albums is exactly. I wasn't exactly all that impressed with Vain Glory Opera when I recently listened to it. I can see why people don't like Power Metal. It's cool you found something to like because there is a lot to like, even in a crowded genre that inspires much boredom in so many.

It's funny because I've been listening to a lot of Power Metal since that review. Especially the disco of Sabaton, Blind Guardian, Caravellus, Manowar, etc.

I think power metal has to have Bel Canto (nice singing) or it doesn't work. You can do it really raspy like Livdquist or Sammet. What Kursh does doesn't work for me nor does singing like He-Man. Wizard gets awfully close to the line, but that guy is essentially getting it close. The guy from Burning Point is an exceptionally talented Baritone who can hit the high notes. Not particularly full and I think he has to multi-track those for them to be usable, but it sounds alright. Hell, even Lord Tim brings the ruckus and the purity of PM vocals.

Roberto Tyranti is still the man to beat in music, period. Yes, his high falsetto gets too nasally, there is some issue there of some sort, but at least it is recorded to minimize it's weird resonance.

I love Edu dearly as a singer too. I just wish we'd let go and stp trying to sound tough though.

PM has a ton of great stuff for everybody.
