Will have to give this a try, good review. Awful bit of cover art, though.

Agreed. Love the album, but the cover art is pointless. Damn Metallica for starting that trend, stupid Black Album......

Only 2 comments? Well, I guess it's the band we have to blame here. IMO Samaels work after 1999 album "Eternal" has been rather patchy, culminating to the completely unlistenable "Above".

So my expectations weren't really big on this as a whole, but I enjoyed "Antigod" EP enough to give it a chance (okay, random finnish review calling it "passage II" was a bit tempting), and only after a few listens I can say that it was money well spent! There certainly are echoes of "Passage" present here and the general feel is a lot darker than in ages!

What's wrong with the cover art? I like it, very minimalistic and it supports the title nicely. Less is more?

I simply have to add my favorite part of the review: "with Lux Mundi I think Samael has built a bridge that both honors their past, and leads towards an open future."

How much more black can it get? The answer is none: none more black.

So what, is that a bad thing? Besides, the cover is not pitch black, so it can get.

Glad you agreed! I still have this on heavy rotation, just a great album.
