I'd probably look into this but from what I've seen/heard Mastodon just can't pull off anything vocally live. My favourite album of theirs is Leviathan so I'd liked to have seen more from that on it, although I do enjoy Crack The Skye.

Oh well.

I am a Mastodon fan from Lifesblood until now and I love each album very much, I'll have to check this out.

Maybe it would've been better to clean those vox up a little in the studio.

Yeah, I guess it depends on your tastes. While the vocals did take away a bit from the album, I prefer they not be sweetened in the studio. It sounds contradictory, I know. But I like it to soind as natural as possible. Oh well. Thanks for reading.

Well the vocals are a tad.....disappointing. I've seen them live a few times and they never sounded that bad honestly.
