I think Floyd's 60's material is highly underrated and at times underappreciated.

Pink Floyd is my favourite band, but I'd actually rate this lower. About 60.

The studio disc is far too directionless. In fact, i'd call the whole disc the only flat-out failed experiment of their career. There's just no sense to the ideas they employ, it comes off as so obviously a transitional, "just what are we trying to do here?" kind of recording.

The live disc saves it, bringing the score up to 60.

Thanks for this, Zad. Reminded me I have the album and never listen to it. Agreed on the live stuff plus Grantchester Meadows being the strength, and I'll be damned if Gilmour isn't one of the best guitarists ever.
