Great review, Marty !!! :) Thanks !
I listened that album too and I really liked it !!!!!!! You like all the same songs than me, but my favourite one is really "Rage Divine" (on the musical and vocal sides). Then, I'd go with "Merlin". I was quite impressed, especially since the guys are quite young (and I for a first release!). But all in all, this album is good from the beginning to the end and I love it ! Totally my kind...reminded me me a bit of Rhapsody...

Yeah, I found this band quite some months ago right when they had just gotten signed. Listened their clips and immediately added them to my "highest new hopes list"! :)

I'm eager to listen to this full album whenever I will be getting it...

This is pretty good stuff. Reminds me of Power Quest at times. Pretty catchy.

Edit: I'm a dumbass. The Power Quest comparison was already mentioned in the review.

A really nice album :) Big surprise.. I would have rated it a bit higher than 80 though, almost skipped this one because of the 'low' score, but then followed the link to their homepage and listened to the samples

Recommended! :D

80/100 is not a low score. It is actually quite high. Look at the rating system.

Exactly.

As far as my quoting goes, I'd pay full price for anything I quote 80 or above, with 90+ albums being "Must haves." 70's albums would be those I'd wait for a discounted price on. 60's would be try before buy albums that have some nice moments, but a number of flaws as well. 50's albums are basically stuff I'd buy out of a clearance bin if I were a fan of the genre or particular band. Anythnig lower than a 50 = don't bother. Each reviewer has their own slant on quoting, but none of us would say that an 80 is low!

So this album is in fact worth the shipping/import price?

You should check out Power Quest Vickie. I think you'd like them a lot. Start with "Neverworld," then "Magic Never Dies."

I just listened to this after reading the review. Very good stuff. There were one of two songs that didn't do anything for me but for the most part there was killer stuff on here. Some of the neo-classical bits reminded of Bodom's Hatebreeder (minus the vocals of course). Speaking of vocals: they are really good. This guy is only going to get better and has a somewhat distinct tone but I did find that he sounded a bit like Kiske every now and then, anyone else notice that?

Anyway, I totally agree with the review and score.
