Very good album but certainly not their best one. Maybe better than Sworn to the Dark but just that. All their albums are above 90 for me anyway so it doesn't really matter. Watain slays! :dio:

Lawless Darkness is one of the best BM I've heard since Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice. No fillers, truly stellar work. Best bm album of the year so far :dio:

Wow wtf. I have never been able to get into these guys in the past, I guess I will need to give this a shot.

More like 73/100... Which I don't mean in a bad way. This just isn't anything groundbreaking or truly amazing for the genre. It's worth listening to if you're a fan but this one definitely got a few marks too many.

Crazy Evil Dead- by your reckoning Aosoth deserves a higher mark than this :P

Anyhoo, bought this a week ago (came very close to getting the special edition uber-version) but only just got round to wacking it on... Severe awesomeness is at hand. Reaping Death is an incredible song.

I don't know if it's better than Sworn to the Dark, but it's a great album nonetheless.

Jesus, I was just about to say that. I've just finished listening to Waters of Ain, and I'm fucking floored, right now it's probably the album of the year for me.

Hmm, perhaps this might reaffirm my waning interest in black metal.

This is fucking killer. :dio: It has the kinda upbeat, charging attitude of a Priest album.

I notice some almost thrash parts here and there. They actually fit with the black metal pretty well I think. This hasn't left my player since I bought it and probably won't until the new Decrepit Birth and Cephalic Carnage come out.

Loving this album right now. It's like... it's black metal, and at the same time, it's not. The solos are cool, like the bluesy one on the title track.
