Thank you for reviewing this. If anymore proof were needed in how underappreciated this band was/or is, I see I am the first to reply.

I haven't listened to it for years, but I remember ranking it below my favorite, Nachthymen. Actually, I think it was in a bizarre tie with Satanized, above Supreme Immortal Art and Channel the Quintessence.. All the more reason to break out the collection again and check.

Heh, indeed, very underappreciated band. I do intend to review more of their discog in the future.

I like their latest CD and then the one before that. This one doesn't do much for me. Great band, though.

Nachthymen was really the singular moment for me from them, I hope you review that one soon. I'm trying to get on board with this new album, but it takes some getting used to.

Ha, yes, pretty out-there stuff. And I will eventually; I have a vast list of bands whose back catalogue needs covering, but I'll get to them in time.

Of the early period I only have Nachthymnen, which is really random in places but otherwise a great foray into something utterly dark. Reminds me a bit of Limbonic Art in its atmosphere.

I'll look forward to it, Zad or Goat...what do you prefer these days?

Yes, I agree on the Limbonic Art atmosphere, and for some reason I thought the few moments of female vocals on Nachthymen really worked, just as they did with older LA. I've heard many refer to Abigor, and that album in particular, as 'neo-classical black metal', and while I don't know if I'd go that far, their guitar work was extremely complex and spastic for bm, and for some reason, it really worked.
