Deadly Sinners is a great song and the first album was pretty solid as a whole, but since then this band just hasn't done anything for me. I listened to Call of the Hammer and Battles and Brotherhood on their myspace. Meh. I hate when the chorus of a song is just repeating the title of the song over and over.

Maybe two tracks ever have I enjoyed of theirs. It's just not interesting or entertaining music.

I love how once I got e-viscerated for daring to suggest that Advance And Vanquish was a bit shit.

I think I'm one of the only people in this world that prefers Fire Up The Blades over Advance And Vanquish......

I have to listen to every song and the cover is kinda ugly, but I like these guys.I'm glad they've smartened up and went with the good high-pitched vocals cause I cant stand the screams.I love Advance & Vanquish and FutB is alright, funny how this new one really tries to jump on the old-school bandwagon soundwise imho. Its still a good listen though, and some good songs.

Why does nobody ever mention their debut album? It's always Advance and Vanquish this or Fire Up the Blades that. Whatever...

As for this album, have not heard it yet. Only heard 1 song, that being Battles and Brotherhood, and it was pretty un-amazing. Not that I was expecting somthing amazing, it just seemed boring and bland. I will still buy this album, for collection purposes, and when I do I wll post my thoughts then.

As for the review, well, it wasn't that great. It got the point across, but there is a reason why I have never heard the name Boris before.

I appreciate the thoughts on the review, but I would appreciate even more if, instead of saying "wasn't great," you'd give a specific criticism.

What wasn't great about it? What were you expecting that I did not deliver on?

The answers to these questions will help me get better as a reviewer. Throwing around silly statements like "there's a reason why I haven't heard the name Boris before" will not.

I had no complaints with the review whatsover, I just thought DW's comment was great.

Ah, I thought you were agreeing with him.

Either way, my reply holds true. DW should give criticism instead of making dumb personal comments..

I did give criticism on the ONE song I have heard. It was boring.

End of discussion.

I do believe Boris was referring to constructive criticism of the review, seeing as how you found it unsatisfactory.

In that case I found it poorly written. The intro seems like it was just thrown together. The rest of the review explains things, but it pretty much says the same thing over and over again. He kept it short and sweet, just the way I like it. But with it being short, he barely said anything.

I got the review, it just wasn't very good.

No one was implying that you missed something in the review. And thank you for the specific criticism...now I know what to work on in the future.

I don't want to start a shitstormw here. Just voicing my opinion, as pathetic and insignificant as it may be.

My comment before this may have come off a bit sarcastic but I assure you it was sincere. In all honesty, your opinion is very appreciated. If we didn't want our readers' opinions, we wouldn't have forums.

I loved Fire up the Blades .. so if this only got deducted because it didn't break any new ground then I'll probably like it.

Oh - and they play old school metal because they are old. I won't hold it against them.
