Seriously, I'm older than 15, you numpty. Anyone seriously calling this a classic needs a verbal kicking.

And please, don't start saying "it's a matter of tastes", "it's my opinion" and all that kind of shit. All about Korn is a disgrace for Metal, their music, lyrics for 12 years old, and their hip-hop-reggae-skate-cholo look. Those are facts. Opinions can't do shit against facts.

Can an album be shit and a classic at same time? This one for me.

This album has the influence aspect of a classic, but that's where it stops.

The music is just really poor in my opinion. Sure I heard a lot of this in high school when it was all the rage, but I've always found it highly disposable. Actually, I have that problem with most nu metal. I'll hear a portion, a riff, something that I like, then I'll forget about it 5 minutes later.

Before I got into metal I went through a brief nu metal/alt. rock phase. I listened to Linkin Park, Slipknot, Creed, Staind and even Limp Bizkit. But for some strange reason, I've never found anything enjoyable in Korn's music. I've tried to listen to this album several times, but I just can't get over how utterly banal and lifeless everything sounds, despite the very personal lyrics.

I agree with this. I think this album is absolutely worthless, but it's without a doubt a classic. It was incredibly popular and spearheaded an entire subgenre. It might have been popular among whiny teenagers and spearheaded an awful subgenre, but that doesn't change a thing.

I'll give you that. I'm starting to believe that Zad made this review to generate more comments and debate, you ol' bastard!

Heh, no. Been planning it since that Dope got reviewed.

I suppose it depends on your definition of a classic. According to you guys, Britney Spears' debut can be considered a classic. I'm using the term 'classic' on a personal level rather than how many copies were sold or whatever. A classic is a classic in every way possible, and I've always reflected that in my classic choices, or tried to anyways.

Well, I'm pretty sure that in a few years, Britney Spear's debut will be considered a classic. According to my own definition, I'll have to accept it's classic status, which I probably won't be able to do. So I guess you have a point :P

I probably wouldn't be into the music I am now without this album. That alone scares me away from whipping this back out and giving it another listen for fear of hating it. But in all honesty it did popularize an entire genre and to me that sounds like a classic.

People have been begging for this to be reviewed for YEARS now, simply so they can trash it.

Hey, I love this album, and I do think that if you can just write it off completely you're approaching it with the wrong mentality. My score's up, bitch as much as you want.

why is it a classic ???

because what band can claim two fuse comletely different genres into something smooth and listenable
those "whiny" vocals who can deny that everyone at one point in their life can relate to them

This album is pretty scattershot and amateurish, and there are a lot of moments that range from dubious to just bad, but there is some good here too. I still say "Faget" is a great song.

I'd also say this is a classic, maybe not because it's good, though, still a classic.

And yes, Issues is their best by far. All the elements that make up Korn were at their best on that album.
