Funny, I just got done watch the movie "The Black Dahlia", which was a bit confusing to follow. I don't suppose this band based their name on that horrific incident. Did they ever write a song or album about the murder?

I've heard from numerous places that they are named after the murder itself. I don't think they have ever written a song about it per se...but a few of their songs could be interpreted that way.

yeah, a good example is "Closed Casket Requiem" from Unhallowed.

anyway, i loved Unhallowed but the only song i like in Miasma is A Vulgar Picture, other than that i found the album waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy too slow for me.

After one listen I must say that this did not hook me up like Unhallowed did...
Gonna listen to it more but I don't think it's gonna do it for me.

Yes, as does everyone who has ever had so much as a passing interest in the band.

I was bored and digging through reviews. I like how the reviewer knocks an All That Remains drummer, who did an outstanding job on the fall of ideals. If you were baffled that he was capable of the work done on this TBDM CD, maybe give the Fall of Ideals another listen. The Fall of Ideals was a huge step up in terms of the drumming compared to this darkened heart.

I just don't understand that comment at all, honestly.
