It's absolutely hilarious and absurd, but it's a little extreme to let it ruin the whole thing for you, isn't it? This album is an outstanding piece of music. Give it another chance, I say.

Yeah, still a good album though. Not sure I'd give it a 90s score. I prefer the first one. Good review.

Brilliant album! But yeah the boing sound effect kinda punches you in the face the first time you hear it lol. So goofy.

So I guess this isn't nearly as good Nattestid?

It's not bad, but Nattestid is far superior. Taake started to go downhill after this anyway.

Fourthed. I only have the first two, and I don't listen to them enough. Don't care about the rest of their discography.

Taake's problem is he got a lot of mileage out of 2 or 3 really good riffs .. not surprised about the decline.

I dunno about you all but I loved Doedskvad. Aside from Nattestid its my favorite taake album. The latest was pretty mediocre though, I will give you that.

I thought all 3 original albums maintained their quality fairly well. Why does no one like Doedskvad?

Also does anyone else find the guitar sound on Nattestid somewhat grating?

IMO Doedskvad is just as good as Nattestid actually.
