I was one of those people that didn't come near this b/c of the "acoustic" tag. After The Scythe I thought an acoustic album would mean MTV unplugged, as the review said. However, I caved after reading some posts from Elvenking fans, and this has turned out to be a very solid performance. I agree with Alex's review and score.

This album was pretty huge for me last year. And its now my second favorite album of theirs, just behind Heathenreel. I almost gave up on them after The Scythe, thinking that they were just going to keep on down that road, which they thankfully didn't aside from some pretty bad lyrics on The Blackest of My Hearts (I like the song itself actually, but the lyrics are easily the worst here and make it sound like it was a Scythe reject or something).

I wanted to like this one,but I have a hard time getting into them recently, don't know why.I love Wryd so much, and Heathenreel, but I guess I'll have to give it more listens.
