i actually liked the combination of the guys clean vocals and those screams he pulls off well. Not a bad album unless you have a stick up your ass with anything involving the four letters: "CORE".

Well this is quite different from any metalcore-band I've heard. A genre I more or less despise.. Hardcore is awesome, and even though this is a little more accesible than your usual hardcore-band, it's a great place to start.

well i mean its different, you have those time signatures and the guy can sing in my opinion when I heard this album my junior year of high school it wasn't the hardest thing in my collection but it held my attention longer then Opeth did. I live/am in a hardcore/deathcore scene so Im predisposed to be a little more open to bands of this "nature" but I what would the world be like if everyone possessed the laughably moronic metalhead sensibility of "OMG ITS CORE" and automatically lose interest at the sight.

Norma Jean are top notch regardless of their genre. They have a creative spark that is severely lacking in most others that dwell in the dreaded 'core realms. Good review :dio:

NOT post-hardcore and NOT very good.
On of those bands that overcrowds the "core" scene and make it not as good as it used to be...
50/100

Maybe not post-hardcore, but I didn't know exactly what to call it. But yes. It's damn good.
