I'll admit I like their later releases better but Choronzon is still a pretty kickass album from a different, original band. Good stuff.

Son of the Morning blew me away the first time I heard it. I love this album; possibly my favorite album of theirs. I can't decide or rank Goat above Antichrist above Chronozon or vice versa.

They are just one of the bands that keeps getting better with each advancing release man.
If you haven't checked out Words that go unspoken, deeds that go undone you should because its a huge step over Choronozon albeit in the same direction.
Its one of my favorite death metal albums.

I'd take Goat or Chronozon over Words.

Goat of Mendes was a little off for me maybe the production or the unfocused vocals or the song lengths, but their bm stuff is just kind of off kilter they were always at their best when writing progressive death metal. The UK has never been renowned for making good black metal.

Wow, I wonder if Trapt still agrees with that quote. I'd say Chronozon was better than Goat, but their last two albums, especially Words, were much better than their early material.

I love the frantic and experimental nature of Goat of Mendes. I may concede to y'all that Words Unspoken is the better album overall, but nothing they've done really tops the harshness in Mendonca's screams on Goat. I think those are easily the nastiest whilst still being great vocals in black metal. And his cleans! Both A Skin for Dancing In and Horns of Baphomet are him at his very best. The song lenghts never bothered me much insofar as the meandering always seemed worth the venture. It never wears thin on my patience.
