I'm still torn between this album being great or just okay. Like you said, for me it all comes down to the vocals. You would think on some parts, at least, that he would step up the vocals for quicker parts of the song (like right after the guitar solo on the main track at ~4:13). Instead, he just sings a tad bit faster, with all of the same boredom as before. You can skip through a song and for the most part have the vocalist sounding identical in any part of it, eventually the songs seem to bleed together because of it. For a debut album it's alright, but the vocalist either needs to be replaced or completely change his style.

Just liiiiike, the firrrstborn, uuuuunicorn... Damn, that song might just be the album saver. It's so lame that it just shines.

The lyrics are so incredibly lame!

But yeah, I cut Another Life some slack cause it's their debut.. Then again these guys should be experienced enough to know what sounds boring and what sounds great.
