A phenomenal effort, and a step above Fate of Norns to my ears. I love the more aggressive feel to this album. This will certainly be in contention for album of the year from me.

Quite a bit of progress, I'd say. Stylistically speaking, there's more atmosphere and Hegg uses a greater vocal range. Production-wise it's a much richer, fuller sound, which complements very well. Nothing like really hearing that angry Viking horde descending upon you.

One of my friends loved Fate of Norns, so I've actually heard a decent amount of Amon Amarth despite the fact that I don't own anything by them...I'm very tempted to pick this up. Looks like it's really good...

hopefully i will be picking this up as soon as i can, i have only been an Amon Amarth fan for a short while now but have loved everything ive heard.

plus, i might be seeing them in december with Children of Bodom :dio:
