I was hoping for a little more doom, but overall I'm pleased with this album. Great goth metal.

emo pirates?

i listened to Adore on their myspace, it reminded me of Mandylion, so that's neat.

The picture is taken from the album "Mary Celeste" which the concept is based loosely on the famous ship of the same name that got lost in sea. So the picture seems ridiculous out of context but not within the album context.

I've listened to this a couple times and I like it. Some interesting and beautiful melodies. Anybody know how their other albums compare?

They still look like emo pirates, be in context or not.

Emo and pirates. There's two words that should never be used in the same sentence.

no comments about the band.

Calm the seas has more of a Tristania, Theatre of tragedy sound and is my favorite album from them, The Balance of blue is a lot softer and drops most of the male singing and the sound is somewhere along Nightwish and Lacuna coil ( The necklace is a good exemple of this).

Pretty good stuff overall
