This band started out as decent at best, and have devovled into boring, paint-by-the-numbers nonsense. They aren't doing anything that others have done much, much better, and quite frankly, they aren't doing anything they themselves haven't done better eithier. Amott's wankariffic playing and the novelty of a woman growling wears off fantastically quick.

What the hell... this album blows. Whats wrong with metalreviews and their shitty ratings! Wake up reviewers, this album is a 70, no more no less.

Look it up. These are what reviews, and your post, are made up of. Here's another example of an opinion:

Your post is a steaming pile of shit.

Hope that helps.

Saw a film clip a while ago from this album and liked the music but the vocals turned me off. Anyway I'll give most things ago music that is and after reading the review and seeing the comments I got a copy and it's growing on me.

Gimmick band, gimmick album. Heard the first half of the album at my friend's place, disliked it immensely. So did he. I'd give it a 50, but since I only heard half the album, that score is halved. 25 is my final verdict.

After a few listens i have come to really like the album. Another thing... A lot of people all hate Doomsday Machine for some reason... I really like the album. I read someone else saying that there are a lot of bands with better albums than Arch Enemy's best one. Do tell which these are because I would love to here them

En fucking tombed. How could you ignore them in favour of your pansy dualguitarharmonywankbands?

I find it very interesting how this band/cd can cause so much division among metal fans.

I take it at face value. They're a good band, creating solid enjoyable music, and they're consistently delivering it.

I have no complaints at all.

This is a great CD from start to finish. :dio:

Weak first half for me, but the second half is absolutely killer. ESPECIALLY the title track and Vultures.

Definitely a resurgence of positive creativity on this one. Some nice riffs, and a good thing too as riffs have always been the selling point of this band. Efforts like Stigmata I like in spite of the vocals.

How can you constantly live in the past?

I put in Entombed/Wolverine Blues (Wolverine cover BTW) the other day, and it was good. Then I went 'Well, I can't listen to nothing but Entombed 24/7, so I think I'll put another CD in just to be different'. And lo, it was Rise of the Tyrant, and it was good too.

I love both old and new Entombed, so I'd hardly say I live in the past.
