I feel the vocals are a bit rougher on this release. Still a good album! 80 / 100 for me so far! :dio: And "Atavism" certainly deserves the score you gave it Alex.

Nice review, my only complaint about this album is the only songs that really stick out are Tiger ! Tiger !, Hardworlder, Dearg Doom and Karma-Kazee... the rest is just like a haze of cool guitar playing.

I guess thats not really a bad thing though.

This band is fucking awesome, and this album is great. They're great live too. Slough Feg is one of the few bands out there that is doing traditional metal a great service by remaining in tact and putting out albums. Edguy and the slew of other European, and American acts (Icarus Witch) are not putting out comparable material. These guys have such a good ear for old school rocking metal that its difficult to find a whole lot of fault in the music. I compare Slough Feg's sound to the Thin Lizzy song Rohsin Dubh, or something like that. Awesome epic Celtic metal. These guys rock like a heavy metal Thin Lizzy. And they are consistent, god damn them they are consistent. Great band again, I can't say it enough.
