Wrong. what makes a full-lenght are the NEW SONGS!!!

So what is it then, an EP? You have a severe lack of logic in this issue. Wether or not the songs have been released before or not has nothing to do with if an album is considered full-length or not. Live albums are considered full-lengths.

Live albums are also not full-lenghts, OMG  you peolple are so confused. Do you even know a site called the metal-archives? See for yourselves what really is a full-lenght. They may have some faults, but they do know that.

The Archives is not the be-all end-all authority on anything.

Well, then don't buy the fucking album if it doesn't have enough new material on it sugar pie. That's probably your own fault for being a music downloading whore anyways. Geez, you're a dense one, aren't ya.

Actually I buy many of them, but I'm not a very rich guy so I have to use the download choice, and the only whores I know are the record companies that suck your every penny, so fuck them, I like the bands not them.

And yes I'm dense, I love music, and I never met no one who loves music so much as I do. So don't give me the "download whore" thing, ok?

If you liked the bands you would buy more music. I'm not a rich man myself, but I still manage to fork over some cash.

Maybe I still buy more music than you...
And I'm not talking only of CDs, there are also concerts, festivals, T-Shirts, and other stuff that support more music and bands than actually buying the CD (where the band only receaves a small part of the amount)

Okay there chief, you've made your point. You are the all-knowing supreme being of album definitions, and we all must bow to you.

Now, can we get back to actually discussing the album itself? Also, I'm still curious what everyone thinks of the collaboration style of reviewing we tried here.

Do you really have to be a jerk, where do you people get this new reviewers anyway?

I'm always up for change. I like it. I've actually kind of thought it would be nice to see some of the albums already reviewed on this site reviewed by somebody else for a second opinion. I know Alex's taste and I know your taste, so it's good to hear (see) two sides.

It would be nice to see a discussion that did not end up in personal insults for once.
I would personally call a record with playtime over 50 min to be a full-length, it makes sense. But then again, some albums are just over 30 min and still called full-length. But does it really matter?

And it's a good idea with having multiple reviewers have a look at albums. Even better if they usually have different taste.

No, it doesn't matter. I'm trying to be as civil as possible, though I don't really appreciate comments like this:

I was trying to end this meaningless argument in a light-hearted manner, but some people just can't help themselves I guess.

It's going to be hard to have two reviewers with different tastes review the same album, but I do think it might not be a bad idea to have an opposing viewpoint. For instance, if a high review is given, say 90+, and another reviewer who is a fan of said band gives it a lower rating (~60), it would be nice to hear their side of it as well.

Exactly, and for an example: if one die hard Black metal fan reviews something it would be nice to hear what someone else, who is not as into BM, have to say about it. Either it's a good thing that this particular BM album can attract people who are not familiar with the style, or it's a bad thing since it's supposed to be more abstract and hard to understand. This way you would gain a whole new understanding of the album.
