Bah. It's definitely not a bad album, but is not a good one also. The voice is awesome, the melodies are between fair and good. The drums SUCK! :? 50/100

I couldn't agree more!

It's just boring. If they want to change a bit, that's fine. But this stuff has no identity whatsoever. They've managed to sound like a 1000 other mediocre Melodeath bands.

I was being sarcastic about how it is totally cool to be all liberal and mouth off but not to be extreme right wing and do it. I find it hypocritical but thank both sides are idiotic.

If you don't own everything Arghoslent has ever done, despite their lyrics you are seriously missing out on some of the greatest HM ever made. Incorrigble Bigotry just defies.

Anyways I doubt I will buy this new Dissection, even though I liked the video I saw, I will keep them pure in my mind and keep worshipping the Somberlein.

ok, since iv been reading loads of bad stuff bout the album, i just decided to download it. so here goes.....

WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?! pure garbage. shit from the core. what's this now? black metalcore? purely tasteless shit.

i still remember reading their flier for a gig "Fear the Return (or was it Rebirth) of Dissection. i thought it was cool then, now, what's there to fear? well the homosexuals might fear them (another murder perhaps?).

if this record wasn't by dissection. i'll be happy and give it a thumbs up. but the fact that they're dissection, a straight kick in the ass actually.

I know, my point is, extremity on either side is idiotic, for example I find PETA and organizations like that just as offensive as White Liberation fronters. Anyways, I don't care about it in my Metal one way or the other, but screaming about how you hate the Government and how everyone is stepped on by the "man" is as idiotic as songs like "quelling the Simian urge". If you had to filter every things in Metal that was serious or offensive there would be nothing left to listen too. Anyways, is cool. I think we can all agree whatever Dissection was in the early 90's they can never be again, but Jon no matter if he is an idiot or not, or what style he plays is very talented dude.

by the way, the video for 'starless aeon' could be downloaded at dissections official website. or just here..... http://www.dissection.nu/media/Starless ... 80x360.mpg

i don like the video. its pretty metalcor-ish. dark room, just wailing n shredding their axes. reminds me of chimaira's 'powertrip'.

I finally picked this up, despite the almost universal condemnation of it. I'm almost embarrassed to say that I think it kicks ass. It's not what I expected, and it doesn't sound like Dissection. But as far as melodic death metal goes; it delivers. Much better than anything In Flames or Bodom has put out recently. Reminds me of Judas Priest's "Demolition"; were I have 10 buddies telling me it's garbage and I'm the only one thinking that it rules. I give "Reinkaos" a 9/10. Go ahead and shoot me.

Nah, I see the point you're trying to make (I also must confess that I bought this album too... the 999 copies red 11-pointed stars edition); I can agree with you to a certain extent. Still, even when I try to block out any thoughts about the Dissection of old, I feel this album sounds painfully restrained at points. Hell, what the hell is wrong with playing a little faster, for example?
Not totally terrible, but still a sore disappointment. I'd still rather listen to this that the latest Satyricon or Celtic Frost, though (although all of these albums could have never existed and my life would have stayed the same).

Nah, the MLO's idea of superior being is not based upon race... but while I agree with some of their principles (setting oneself apart from the ignorant, sedated-minded masses, for example) I still think it's a bunch of crap. I mean, first they support individuality as a whole ("lawless be the only law") but then you have to accept all the other rules to fit in? It's like exchaning a straightjacket for chains that hold you suspended against a prison wall.

A bit of an overstatement, maybe? All organizations have some sort of rules and quidelines. If you feel that an organizations rules are restricting you, don't join. Simple as that.

Total individualism is a ridiculous concept, i think. Unless you want to do like Pentti Linkola or Ildjarn (both of whom i respect greatly) and live in the woods alone that is...

I had no interest in this album when it was first released, but last year this was in my top 10 most listened albums (praise Spotify). The lyrics are rubbish though, but what else to expect by some one like Jon.
