Nice album, this new Angra is really good. Looking forward for their next release.

Im very disappointed with it. The album has 13 songs, and out of those songs there are 9 slow ballad type of songs. Nine! wtf??

Theres only 4 metal songs on the album really, those are Spread your fire, Angels and demons, The temple of hate and Wings of Destination. Sure the speed kicks up a bit from time to time on "The Shadow Hunter" and "No pain for the dead" but i would still classify them as slow and ballad-like.

Wings of destiny isnt speedy all the way trhough either, its got this long slow part in the middle of it so im not sure if id rate it as a heavy song after all.

Sheesh, youd expect more speed and heavyness from a power metal album quoted "92/100" :roll:

I don't think Angra is the right band to listen to in any case if you are looking for heavy speedy metal. Sure, their debut had some speedy tracks and so did Rebirth, but Angra is mainly higher midtempo folk-prog/metal (if that makes sense). I happen to prefer their slower songs, having similarities with "Holy Land".
And this album remains after countless listens the best album in 2004 (in my opinion) and has a place in my alltime top10.

Not everyone likes it that heavy...
And "powermetal" is quite a misslabel for this album, sorry you got tricked.

I don't listen to Power Metal very often, but damn, does this album kick ass or what???

I've owned it for some months now and I still keep coming back for more!

This album is so fucking great. One of my all time favorites. 98/100. Honestly. I feel it is just shy of being perfect.


I remember when I first purchased it. I didn't know how to react. It was just so damn amazing. I bought this before Rebirth, so it was my first time hearing Edu as well. Holy crap this album kicks so much ass.

Indeed. It's a promo, but has full artwork, just a hole in the UPC. I lucked out with it, some retard had put it in the single section!

My cousin bought it for $15.00 and it came with the rebirth DVD, i tought that was a good deal but $0.99 its just insane!. :shock:

BTW, that DVD is worth $15.00 in its own. My brother got that version too.
