Well then, I guess we haven't been respectable since November 2004 (when the first Graveland review went up), yet you still come here. Didn't you just say you regret the no Burzum policy in the other thread? You really have a way of coming off like a guy who isn't happy unless he's got something to complain about.

I thought it was obvious saying in a thread about a Burzum review that I regreted the "no Burzum" policy meant I wasn't okay with Burzum being reviewed at MR.

To regret something like that means you wish it never existed. So...

Pity you never said that originally, then there wouldn't be all this fuss!

That was what I originally meant, sorry that you misunderstood me.

I too was confused by that remark but I do remember Stefan being a consistent proponent of the no Burzum rule.

Actually, the way you worded it, it isn't at all obvious. In fact, it sounds like you're saying you regret there was ever a policy in place to begin with. But whatever. I still find it curious that you now choose to be the crusader for a nearly 5 year old issue here. I know you are against nazism, but I've never seen you say you'd leave if any NS related band were reviewed. I don't think any of us believe for a second that you'll actually leave. If you do, you'll no doubt resurface a short time thereafter, likely with a new username. Please spare us with the morality bit, no MR staff member is a nazi, no MR staff member believes in that garbage. We are reviewing the music, as we are a music site. Like Zad said, if we didn't review an album because the musicians behind it were scum, that wipes out a fair portion of metal.

Bolded for truth

Unsurprisingly, very dark, strange and sometimes disturbing music tends to come from people who are themselves dark, strange and disturbing.

There's a difference between turning your back on their beliefs and their work like so many have pointed out already. If you leave because of this, it's your problem not ours. I can't believe that you're so stuck-up about it.

For gods' sakes, Stefan, LBJ was a massive racist yet did great things, definitely a praiseworthy guy overall.

Praising their music is stupid. Buying their albums is even stupider. That is NOT open to debate.

@ Metal XXX
No one should tolerate racism or nazism. Reviewing the music of such people is starting to tolerate them. JUST SAY NO.

Oooh, bold type, calm down tough guy. Where was this crusade of yours when the first Graveland review was posted almost 5 YEARS ago? Once again I feel the need to tell you this: No one is forcing you to stay. If you're that upset, why do you still post here?

You think I went looking for EVERY review published here ? Have I known about it back then, I would have shown the same discontentment.

Well, maybe I did as I see an anonymous who posted "Darken is a fascist. Fuck him" in the thread about the album.

That's a silly post, though, because offering sexual succour to the extreme-right won't make them change their ways. Unless you're black or something, in which case I'd advise against it for your own personal safety.

Yes, but that still doesn't explain why this has just now become your personal crusade. I realize you've always been opposed to anything NS-related being reviewed here, but yet Drudkh have managed to go 4 years without this type of themed protest (with matching avatar) from you. I think you need to come down off your high horse and realize that metal musicians tend to not be the most savory individuals. I'm sure if I searched hard enough, I would find you praising an album with someone on the roster who's been convicted of a serious offense (i.e. murder). Does that mean that you support murderers? No, just like none of us support nazis. You are pissing in the wind here.
