i disagree eyesore. They are that bad. I have heard most of the album and it just isnt good. It certainly doesnt warrant any long discussions or debates. It is what it is - A generic band who threw a few metal solos in an otherwise poppy album. It doesnt throw me into a fit of rage everytime i hear it. it isnt offensive to the ears. Its not reggae. Its just nothing special. This is a band that was told what their image should be and what they should sound like. I would only hope that a serious metal site, such as this one, would show it for what it is.

I'm not really worried about the mainstream metal/posecore bands getting positive reviews because, you know, opinions, and it brings people to the site to give Soilwork 95/100 no matter how bad their album is etc.

and then they might migrate to other parts of the forum where we can capture and re-educate them

Strictly musically speaking, this band is actually quite good, in a simple and poppy kind of way (when comepared to the likes of REAL metal i mean... to britney spears fanatic this is pretty hard music) ... BUT, and i stress the "BUT", their image and fan base turn me off so much to the point where i wouldn't mind off-ing these guys by catapult. Perhaps if a few years back (3 exactly) i had not had a girlfriend with quasi-homo emo friends that worshipped these guys i wouldn't hate them with a passion, but i did, so i do. When my friends laugh and say "dude, you dated dominique, a girl who liked emo music, avenged sevenfold, thrice, etc... whats the matter with you" i always remind them that i cheated on her, let her find out and dumped her ass... yep, i'm an evil son of a bitch.

he can and, imho, he does it pretty well... so, okay, his vocals are kind of an scquired taste but they're still way better than (for example) Cyrith Ungol's crappy vocals.... actually, they remind me of Hansi (Blind Guardian), only better !
