Hmph. I take it the band name is a swipe at the Israelis over the refugee camp? Political hardcore is so 1980's, darling.

It's definitely an odd choice of name, I admit. I didn't mention it because there is no definitive answer as to what it means. As for the band, they're really good.

Riffs are very nu-metally, aren't they? The keyboards can only be described as "shit". Think I'll avoid this.

No. The riffs are very hardcore, not nu-metal. Keyboards are shit, eh? How so?

Very plinkety-plink, if you know what I mean. The trouble with hardcore is there's so damn much of it. This hasn't inspired me in any way at all. And what's with all the corny "Jesus" references?

And I don't mean that in an "Eric, rape the angels" way, but it just sounds bad. Are they straight-fucking-edge?

I know very little of this band. I only reviewed it here because I didn't get my PC back up and running (I moved) until late Saturday night. This is the only I had that wasn't packed in a box. So, I figured I'd just review this instead of nothing for two weeks in a row.

Yes, there is a ton of hardcore, but this guy has done something different here. As for the mention of "Jesus," it's only mentioned in one line and it's not a religious reference really, and definitely not corny.

I'm giving it another go. Here is my review:
The opening riff is pure Evanescense, albeit with an angry man yelping (CAN YOU FEEL IT? CAN FEEL IT?). Very corny indeed. "Take a look at the papers", and the vocals are more nu than hardcore, they're nearly rapped! "Jesus himself...hell is the sign of our times...holy mother of columbine, say a prayer for me"?!
Murderers of Palestine?!

No, too much for me. Back to the Anaal Nathrakh. 8)

Ugh...there's no sense in discussing it, right? There is no Evanescence or nu-metal here. It's hardcore. Plain and simple.

meh, basing a record on the middle east seems kinda lame... write songs about it, but don't be to blatantly open about it. Leave that to Megadeth, who are the only ones that can do it well?

So, you've heard the album? I encourage discussing music, but not unless you understand what it is you're discussing—which you're not doing.

nope, I haven't heard the album, and frankly, I don't want to.

Pffft. That song still sounds nu-metally to me, and the hardcore sounds like hardcore. Alright, but nothing amazing.

That's because you have no idea what nu-metal is. "Nu-metal" is used as an insult here, it has little to do with being correct. Now, please, don't bother responding. You said enough in this thread already.

No, I mean nu-metal as in sounding like a nu-metal band. You say that then expect me not to respond?

You're not going to get much of a response otherwise. Ok, we'll take it to Helheim.
