What's wrong with the new one? It's excellent IMO.

Precisely :D

Seriously though, I'm really glad for them. I know how much effort Nergal puts into this band, it's nice to see him get some benefits out of it. And I doubt anything will change, musically speaking, because of this. The man will not compromise his art for anything, I'm sure of this. I saw them live 2 months ago, it was fantastic. Probably the second best metal show I've ever seen. The level of energy and the intensity were absolutely mindblowing.

I feel like im missing a joke here.

Sort of, not really corpse paint though, just sort of like some stage makeup.

Corpse paint is such a cliche that bands nowadays don't bother bout it, and those who used to corpse paint themselves, are just applying thin layers of powder. I think they realised how silly they look after some time.

I remember my friend said he lost all respect for behemoth after seeing them live because Nergal would have a wardrobe change every 3-4 songs :P

Yep. Although hearing Nergal do synth-pop would be rather cool.

When I saw them, they didn't change at all. There was this crazy incident though, when someone from the crowd grabed Nergal's feet and tried to pull him down. Nergal put down his guitar and wanted to jump into the crowd to beat up the guy, the rest of the band and the bodyguards managed to stop him. Then Nergal left the stage, pretty enraged, and I feared they wouldn't play anymore, which would have been a shame, because they had only played 3 songs up to that point. After a few minutes Nergal calmed down, returned, went to the mike and prepared to continue the show, but he saw that guy in he crowd again, and he lost his temper again and started "You, you fat fuck! Try that again and I'm gonna fuckin kill you, you fuck". The whole incident was weird, but somehow fitting with their music.

edit: I found a video with a bit of that incident. And another one from that show.

I don't see how entering some billboard proves Behemoth to be "leading force in metal".

The video Oldschool posted with the fat douchebag who ruined the show. It's the 2nd link, and Nergal is waving a flag.

Chant For Eschaton 2000, last song from Satanica. They like to close shows with that one. Kick ass song, just like the whole Satanica album is.
