It's always good to have a reunion, no matter what type of band it is. And speaking of Reich, although I'm not a big fan, but it's really an exciting news to hear.
They were very true with the point that they quit to think of their families and other bigger priorities. I think I can see a stampede of 'SELLOUTS!!!' coming this way. It's true once you have families, your priorities are divided, or more like bent to a different direction. But still I think they could have owned up by just releasing albums as a part time hobby. You know, write and record stuff, but skip the touring part. At least you're still in touch with what you love. A local band in Malaysia here, Cromok, a thrash band, did the same thing. They quit performing on stage but still kept on producing albums. They all have day jobs, decent ones. That's probably why they're still popular despite quiting stage performance. But recently they made a comeback at Planet Hollywood, after 7 long years of being absent from performing. The bassist/vocalist admitted he was nervous in front of the crowd.
