As long as it doesn't sound like Geezer's solo project, this is probably going to kick ass :dio:

Great, great, great...

Iommi released a superb album last year with Glenn Hughes on vocals that was titled Fused...it reminded me much of Sabbath!

Lets hope they do a tour!

What's the over/under on the odds of Bill Ward dropping out due to health reasons and being replaced by Vinny Appice?

Comments from the Ozzy camp (aka the Sharon camp) concerning the reunion of Dio with Sabbath:

Quote:
Addressing the reunion news, a representative for original Sabbath vocalist Ozzy Osbourne has stated, "Tony Iommi and Ronnie Dio are working on a project together which has nothing to do with Black Sabbath. There is only one Black Sabbath. Ozzy, Tony, Geezer and Bill will be touring late next year along with a new Black Sabbath album. However, Ozzy wishes Tony and Ronnie much success in their project together."

Figures that Sharon would want to get as much attention when the situation has nothing to do with her and Ozzy. And Ozzy touring with Sabbath and doing a new album. I wouldnt put my money on that ever happening (let alone next year). Needless to say its Sharon preventing Dio, Iommi, Ward, and Butler from touring as Sabbaath.

Dio with Sabbath is gonna be on the top of my shows to see list next year, before Judas Priest, Symphony X, and what ever else is coming our way. I hope the Iommi has no intentions of working with Ozzy again and instead focus on this project, a new album would be godly :dio:

Apparently he's clean and in very good shape now, but I still wouldn't be surprised.

Needless to say, Iommi, Butler, Ward, and Ozzy agreed to never use the Black Sabbath name again if those 4 were not involved in the project. This was back in 99 around the time that Reunion came out.

If thats the case, I'd still say she had something to do with getting them to agree to that. Iommi went on as Black Sabbath with none of the other guys with him, so I see no reason why he wouldnt tour with Dio, Butler, and Ward as Black Sabbath. Also didnt like the comment that the ONLY Black Sabbath is Ozzy, Iommi, Butler, and Ward. Bottomline is Dio released three albums with those guys under the name Black Sabbath and their isnt anything Sharon, Ozzy, their misfit, loser children, or anyone in their camp can do about it.

Remeber, they LEGALLY agreed to that during the whole 15 minutes that everything was hunky-dory in Black Sabbath land. I'm sure they regret it now, but Iommi did it to himself. I also can't see Iommi being bullied by Sharon into doing anything, it's more his band than it is Ozzy's. He just simply used poor judgement.

I guess Iommi was hoping that the originals would at that point get started with something and run with it, but no such luck, and in the end it came back to bite him on the ass. Oh well. I suppose as Radagast has said, who cares what name they go under, its still gonna be Black Sabbath to everyone that goes to see them. I just wish Sharon would keep her big mouth shut. After the whole thing with Iron Maiden at Ozzfest, she should have learned by now to let things be.
