Doomsday Machine was very poor. For a band like Arch Enemy, it was a fucking bad album. I only enjoyed the first 3 songs. The rest were utter rubbish. Hopefully the new album is an improvement. Or it could well be another shitfest for death metal. And I'm not impressed with Angela anymore.

They're not Death Metal anymore, but they're still pretty good. Doomsday Machine was alright.

Are they even relevant anymore? Even MTV2 and Ozzfest don't care about them.

I like them as long as the vocals aren't processed like they were on the previous album.

arch enemy are gay. ban them.

This band is irrelevant and sucks at this point. I'm sure they will reach new lows though.

I've said it before, so I'll say it again, Burning Bridges was their absolutely golden moment. Everything after that travelled down the road of suck.

That chick can't sing. I don't see this happening, although its happened once already that I know of, with clean male vocals.

Yeah, this is pretty ho hum news. If it's anything like they've been doing I really won't care to hear it. If it happens to be good then that's cool. I don't think there is any way in hell it's going to be amazing. Amott should stick with his better band, Spiritual Beggars.

I always felt I should like Arch Enemy more than I do, especially before they got Angela because they actually had a good singer then. I think they need to focus more on their strengths (lead guitars mainly).

Personally I don't mind their new stuff, my biggest problem has been with Angela's vocals. I generally like slower, groovier, more melodic stuff. When it's fast it loses that hook/melody aspect a bit and I like less. So the music has been cool with me, the vocals, though...meh. She has no range. None.

She is just a terrible singer.

Then in what genre would you categorize them now? If course, it's not the typical death metal anymore. More of speed, imo.

I don't know. Just a heavier version of traditional Metal I suppose.
