Hmmm, while I doubt the hyperbole Mr. Drover was spouting off, I do look forward to it. But, I distinctly remember Dave Mustaine saying that The System Has Failed would be the last album under the Megadeth banner.

Oh yeah, The Dave Mustaine Band isn't as marketable as Megadeth. Friggin money whore.

Honestly I'm glad there'll be another. I don't even mind Risk, and I really liked TSHF.

TSHF is actually one of my favorite Megadeth albums (next to Rust in Peace and Youthanasia). So I definitely have high hopes for this album.

Of course, it may disappoint, so I won't get overly excited.

The System Has Failed is definitely a great album. I look forward to this one. As for why Dave ever said that would be Megadeth's last album I'm not sure, but Dave is Megadeth.

As risky as it is, I actually have some mediocre hopes for this album to be good. I like TSHF and, although its far from their best (peace sells imo) its light years ahead of Risk and Youthanasia.

i don't see the new bassist really effecting the band, because liek you said, megadeth = Mustaine

Youthanasia is my favorite Megadeth album!

I'll take that as a compliment.

I like how everyone has a different favorite album by the band :) I think that can only be regarded as a very good thing or an accomplishment :)

New Megadeth > New Metallica

Yet which will sell more? There's a lesson there for all of us.

Obviously, looking forwards to it...
