Faster than anything they've done??? Are they kidding me? The 3 songs I've heard were all slower than their earlier stuff. I hope the other tracks are faster, I did get a Divine Intervention vibe from these 3, I hope the others are more like it.

"The Final Six" was a better title.

The artwork is good. Hopefully the record is as good.

Now with dave lombardo back with the band, I can hope of an album of the caliber of seasons or rain in blood. Probably will not be as good, but it surely can beat their last 2 cds.

I just hope it ends up better than God Hates Us All and Diabolus in Musica, I don't have great expectations, like beeing in the same quality as Reign in Blood.

Says Araya, "No one is going to be disappointed, it's going to blow everybody away. It's fast, heavy, and maybe faster than anything we've done before."

Quote:
"It's a good mix of fast, brutal music and slower moodier stuff, it's pretty intense," added King. "It sounds like a damn SLAYER record."

Two different albums there, guys?

Heard a couple of tracks, the slower ones sound painfully average. Let's hope there's more stuff like Cult on there...

No, I meant that they were talking at cross-purposes. Not that Slayer are releasing two albums...

I was meaning where did you hear those 'few' tracks from. I only heard 'Cult'.

Ah. Some crappy Metal show that's only on at 1:00 in the morning here. I'd post the link, but they only have the last week's show online, so it'd be gone by now.

That Cult song sounded exactly like Exile and Bloodline, both from God Hates Us All, combined.

I'm playing some groovy Slayer at the moment, and it's really not as bad as people make out.

That's what I had on. "Stain Of Mind" was the song.

Maybe I'm just a closet nu-metal fan. After all, I turned out to be a closet Manowar fan! (although Sign Of The Hammer isn't that good an album, I've decided. I'll be investigating further, though. Maybe the later stuff...)

I like "Stain of Mind". Sure, the rest of the album is colossal shit, but that song kicks ass.

I don't think the new album would be as bad as 'God Hates Us All'. But it deffinitely won't match classics like 'Reign in Blood'. After a few plays I'm starting to enjoy 'Cult', although I still feel the slow intro is too nu-metallish.

I must be one of the seven people who enjoy Diabholus and GHUA on the whole planet, thus I'm feeling pretty comfortable while waiting for new album.
