Though i saw their performance right after they won and they didnt have too much stage charisma...

well, the song is pretty cool, but i just can't see how they could have won.

I used to watch Eurovision pretty much every year (moved to US since), yet when I first saw pics of Lordi I wasn't sure if i was thinking of a right contest.....:shock: :shock: :shock: Must have had many young voters

Lordi do suck. If not for this, none of you would've heard of them, and I doubt this fame will last long, even with Metal Hammer (I predict) giving them covers.

I'd be willing to bet everyone that has spoken about them had heard of them before Eurovision (apart from Ken). We've even spoken about them before, you and I - I said the song I'd heard sucked (but this one seems not too bad).

yeah.. probably :cry: they already get played on national television, so why not?.. .even though i find Dimmu Borgir to be more likely, since it's even easier for the broad audience to listen to

I've heard of them prior to this as well. I believe they got album of the year once on this site. I never really thought they were anything speical, but this is still cool. And the song isn't bad, IMO.

you obviously haven't listened to Lordi.. they may look like Gwar but they sound nothing like it... as I said in the other thread about them, they're more like Alice Cooper in the 80's with a little harsher/modernised sound... and I think they're quite a good/fun band when Kiss has been nothing but a bunch of posers wearing silly make-ups and using fireworks to distract people from their shitty music... so the comparison is more an insult to Lordi... :roll:
