You know, I've tried really hard to get into power metal and even some classic heavy metal but I just can't do it. I don't know what it is that pushes me away so much and it bugs the hell out of me. I WANT to enjoy it because it would give my music taste more variety but theres just something... I don't know. I'll admit it though, I did enjoy the new Kamelot (I even bought it) but some of the bands everyone praises like Blind Guardian I can't seem to like :( .

Awesome news, at least we know now we will not have to wait another 4 years for something else, even though it may not be a traditional BG album, Im sure it will still kick ass (I haven't disliked anything with Hansi yet).

It sounds cool, I was about to puke when I read orchestral, but when I read there will be vocals I decided not to. :)

I'm the opposite. The orchestral stuff sounded cool but when I saw that Hansi was singing on it I wanted to puke.

That's because it's opposite day where you're at. Don't worry, it's OK to say "I don't know." Just today, though.

I thought this was supposed to be Primal Fears' big anouncement.

I love Blind Guardian, but little by little they have been going to a less metal music oriented and more orchestral one. This seems like a logical move considering the evolution the band has experimented. I enjoy the band very much, but I would like that the "somewhere far beyond element" remain. If they are going to experiment is OK, but if the band has changed so much, maybe they should consider making another band.

The best would be a METAL album with an orchestra.

Nice, I hope it will be worth the wait. In the meantime I'm still looking forward for their new Metal release.

This is an experimenatl album, if I'm reading correctly. I don't think we have to worry about the band going completely orchestral.

BG is turning into the new MEtallica.
Hint:S&M
