Cool. I hope now they finally concentrate on recording the next album.

@MetalStorm you should try them, they are really good. It's what Tristania have never been but what Morten Veland wanted it to be, fast and quite brutal gothic metal with death/black vocals.

Yeah, I think they're similar to World Of Glass and earlier Tristania. Both are great bands even if Tristania have sort of wandered away from that sound a bit. But yeah, Sirenia are excellent.

And, um...that chick is hot (was that sarcasm)? Looks a bit tore up to me.

New and old:

Old wins.

The old one was hotter but this new one wasn't too bad either...

By the way, I haven't heard many gothic metal albums, but At Sixes and Sevens is quite possibly the best I've heard! Highly reccomended!

Ahh I can't decide.....

I'll take both, please.

Anyway I couldn't care much how she looks as long as she sings good. I really like the contrast of soft angelic voice and harsh growls mixed together.

The new singer is hot??

Based on that photo, it looks like her face was beaten with the ugly stick. I'm not into blondes, so maybe i'm a bit biased. But the old singer is a damn honey.

Now that she has left Sirenia....could she become the new face of Nightwish? She has a damn fine voice and would be a fine asset to Nightwish, not saying she will fill Tarja's shoes, but will be very good.

I mentioned this woman waaaayyyyy back in the Nightwish thread about Tarja being fired, that she could be one of the applicants to replace Tarja....zoom back to present day and this could still happen. I think her or the ex female vocalist from Visions Of Atlantis would be the 2 best replacements

That would be a bad choice...

Actually VoA new singer is the ex from Aesma Daeva and only that would make me want to hear their new album, when it is released.

Possibly if she sung exactly the same way...but i'm sure nightwish would mould her and change her style. I'm mainly saying that she has a great voice...but would need to change somewhat for nightwish. Go listen to Winternight on their Cast Away album for an example of how good her voice is

World of Glass is a horrible let down after Beyond the Veil and Widows Weed, you could def tell the talent (Veland) left Tristania. Sirenia is freaking awesome though, since Tristania couldn't go to the next level he took himself there. I will be happy when they get a new album out.

Yeah that chick looks rough.....

That Taiwanese girl that left Seraphim (Pi) would make a great replacement for Tarja but I think she moved to germany to sing opera full time.

I'm not sure the old singer from Sirenia would fit, she has a great voice, but is it powerful enough? I don't think she showed it on Sirenia. I'm sure she has a greater ranger, but I don't know...

As for teh Visions Of Atlantis singer, she is a better fit, I think. She's actually very good. I still think Floor Jansen should join Nightwish and her sister Irene should replace her in After Forever. That way the metal universe is kept in balance.

That's the first Tristania album I bought. I then moved on to their other albums and Sirenia. I do like that album, though. I even like the new one, it's not amazing, but I heard it was complete shit. I expected that, maybe that's why I liked it? Haha.

I find World Of Glass as good as Beyond The Veil. I don't think there is a big difference between the two. For Ashes I have no special feelings. Something on that album just didn't feel right. We'll have to wait and see what the next album will be like.

I agree with you Ken about Floor. She is my fav. female singer and i would like her to leave the crap band After Forever turned out to be with Remagine. She and Simone Simons from Epica are also the two best looking.
