After reading that article, and in particular, some of Lars' comments, I came away with a strange feeling that this new album may be a taste of Numetallica.

So what's next? Are we going to see more Lil Jon or Ja Rule remixes? This collaboration means nothing.

Like this one?

"In the same interview, Ulrich spoke highly of the most recent albums by SLIPKNOT and SYSTEM OF A DOWN — both of which were produced by Rubin — citing them as particularly inspiring in terms of making him "look forward to paying a little more attention to the sonics" next time around."

Also, wasnt there already a thread about this? with like 30 replies?

Yes, but not a news item, that was in the forum. There is a website attached to this messageboard.

As for that comment, that is Lars' way of acknowledging the drums sounded like shit on St. Anger without saying "the drum, like, sounded like shit on St. Anger, man."

I think NUMetallica would be a mix of St Anger and Load/Reload's singles... which is, any way, better than shit anger... 8)

I know theres a site attached to these forums...
I thought the other one was in the news.

That comment to me sounds like metallica want to copy slipknot and SOAD's styles.

If they do another Shit Anger I wouldn't care. But if they dare to make a nu metal album then I'm gonna give them some flames.

I never said anyhting was shit. I just said that comment sounded like he wanted to rip off slipknot and SOAD's styles.

It would be cool if the saying "Metallica is recording a new album " would create as much expactation as it did back in the 80s and beginning of the 90s. I remember waiting for the release of followup of the black Album, what a long wait. Sadly it was not worth it.
When the new one comes out I will give it a listen, sure, but without much expectation.

I agree. Load is pretty good and Reload has some good songs.
