WHAT?

FUCK! FUCK! GODDAMN! FUCK!

AGGGGHH.

I LOVED their latest release and The Illusion of Motion... and suddenly, out of nowhere, after so many prolific years, they're breaking up?

AGHHHH.

There can't be a big market for this kind of band out there? Generally I don't like doom bands that play that drawn out, slow-paced doom metal, but YOB are just too good for me to ignore.

Maybe this AGE group will be good?

OK, time isn't money, but music is a job and a job is for making money and money pays bills and buys beer and hookers. How's that? I just think a lot of killer bands end up breaking up because they just can't make a living doing it. It saddens me.

Solitude Aeturnus, for instance, money keeps them from making albums consistently. Why? They're more appealing to the mainstream than a band like YOB, and yet they can't make it work, how the hell can YOB?

Of course, everything I said there is meaningless if they just broke up for some other reason. Haha.

Yob was on Metal Blade.

And if you look at the post, it says that more members left so the original dude was like 'screw this.'

Damn...

That sucks.

Elaborations of Carbon is one, if not the, heaviest stoner doom records ever. A great band for Sleep fans like me, they will be missed.
