Lame title but according to a reliable source the band are revisiting ideas that didn't quite pan out on the first two albums so I'm pretty excited about this. Liked most of what MDB have put out though so odds are I'll overlook the unimaginitive album title.

Lol, does the album title really matter with this band? Some of the track titles are great, some are horrible, looks like just the typical case of MDB straddling the line between cheesy Gothic theatrics and genuinely eerie, unsettling thoughts. Artwork might be their best ever, along with Barghest O Whitby.

You'd think by now I'd expect the cheesy song titles and album names. The artwork is great and if they really are revisiting the first two albums this could be album of the year.

I do really like that art.

Aaron singing a bit more prog/power in places was a bit of a surprise, as was the slightly more technical sound. Some really nice riffs, but as usual MDB says "lots of death metal on the new album!" and what we hear doesn't agree. Andrew (their guitarist) has already come on to their forum, claiming plenty of death metal on other tracks, we shall see...

Lack of death metal to doesn't really matter to me though. Because ultimately MDB's guitar sound, styling (their pinch harmonics should be trademarked), etc. are that distinct and enjoyable.
