Not awful, seems to be headed back towards the Thornography heavy metal sound but with a bit more to it. Reminds me I need to listen to their last one again, didn't pay much attention at the time...

Really Zad? I didn't know people took this band seriously.

That's not to say I think they're bad - I actually am not really familiar with any of their stuff, as you know it's not my genre of expertise. I just had the impression that they weren't really very well respected by people in the know.

The problem I have with Cradle is that they can't seem to write a good song from start to finish. Like the first few minutes of a song will be pretty good, the middle boring as shit, and then an okay-ish ending. Granted I've not listened to a *ton* of CoF but that's what I've found from the stuff I have heard.

I take them more seriously than some - the band's tongues are firmly in their cheeks, they're not trying to challenge Negura Bunget in atmospheric terms, and they can be a lot of fun. The same sort of people who despise death metal because people mosh to it dislike Cradle, yes. ;)

This sounds like the thrashing of Thornography combined with the synth-cheese of Midian. I dig it. :dio:

Pretty much where I stand. I will probably end up getting the album just to add it to the collection, and honestly the last two have been better than average. Thornography, on the other hand, sucks ass.

From a song writing stand point, I would say the most memorable thing they have done recently is the song Nymphetamine. Nothing boring about it, very good from beginning to end.

Zad and other people "in the know" disagree from time to time. That doesn't mean we can't still be friends. :P

Speaking of Cradle, well, I thought Godspeed was pretty good, didn't hear the one after that, not thinking I'd care for a return to Thornography sound though.

I like Cradle a lot. They're pure extreme heavy metal fun. I have and like all the albums, even the last one  but this song is just.. erm.. forgettable. I've listened to it like 20 times and I can't even recall the melody when I wake up in the morning (just so you know - that's never happened with me and a new Cradle song before) So I don't know, something is wrong here..
