I have to say, I'm getting tired of the post-reunion Destruction output.

Obviously The Antichrist was amazing, I'm one of the few people that fucking loves Metal Discharge, and Inventor of Evil is great too. But with the last couple it has really felt a lot like same old, same old. Both totally solid, worthwhile albums, but just with a distinct sense of deja vu about them. Around about 2004 or 2005, I would probably have thought Destruction were the pre-eminent teutonic thrash band. Now I think in light of recent releases, they have been taken over by both Sodom and Kreator.

I hope this new one is something more memorable.

You're crazy. Sure Day of Reckoning was nothing fantastic but D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N. was great.

New Destruction will be a hundred times better then the new Toxic Holocaust or Lich King of whatever new shit is coming out now.

Completely agreed with that, but it's not saying much especially in the case of Lich King. Toxic Holocaust I can enjoy, but I don't think I see what everybody else sees in his work.

Anyway, don't get me wrong - I'll be buying the new Destruction, and I'll enjoy it too, that's a forgone conclusion. I just hope they've got something a little fresher up their sleeves. To see how Sodom and Kreator have reinvented themselves while staying very thrashy maybe has just spoiled me a little bit. (I know you're not a huge fan of recent Kreator, but I am)
