It's going to be interesting to see if he fares well with Kamelot. He's got a tall order filling in the shoes of Roy Khan so time will tell whether or not he can cut it.

I think alot of it rides on Thomas Youngblood. His style changed quite a bit from the pre-Khan days to where they are now. Will he stick with the proven formula (which IMO had grown a bit stale over the last two albums) or take them in a different direction?

One things for sure. He'll probably be taking an anger management course because he didn't get the job

He mentioned last year he was going to apply for the gig. Heck wouldn't surprise me if he went for Labyrinth also and if my memory serves me right he was going to shoot for the Lost Horizon slot

Oh, Lost Horizon, I just got melancholic now... they were a shooting star in the Metal firmament, they burned very bright that's for sure.

For anyone who's heard the last two Seventh Wonder albums, you have to know Karevik is twice the singer that Khan has been as of late, and songwriting will determine the rise or farther fall of this band.

Speaking of big singers joining transitioning bands, I just saw that Michele Luppi recently joined Secret Sphere. I'm not sure which release I'm more excited for.

Good news...

I was never a Khan fan, and as a result could never really get into Kamelot. Now with this guy, their next album will be something to look forward to.

Not liking Khan is a bit hard to digest. The guy was flawless.

Maybe flawless but I didn't like his voice much either and thus Kamelot was kind of lost to me....
Maybe with a new singer...

Kamelot was a band I liked back in the day. But I was always a big fan of Khan.

I feel like Khan leaned too heavily on his inflections and style in the last two albums rather than his actual voice. If you listen to an album like Karma, where I think he was at his Kamelot peak, there is a lot more focus on power than style, where as Poetry for the Poisoned was just the opposite. Perhaps taking a break will give him a chance to recharge and just maybe we might see another Conception?

As to Kamelot, I am very interested to here what is next for them.
