Blabbermouth have updated the original post with lots and lots of stuff about drugs, so that would seem to be the case - or at least the innuendo.

At least now I know it's not only limited to musicians I give a damn about.

Sad news though, apparently his wife is expecting a child, too.

Sad News. For some people these guys have been around as long as anyone. It's a strange situation. I started listening to Dio and Slipknot around the same time, so the sadness is now on two levels.

I've been warning people about this for years. Although this incident is not part of it, you gotta remember the ages of all the people who were around in the 60's and 70's and know they won't live forever. There's gonna come a dark period for metal were all of the originators just start disappearing. It's a bit obvious, but remember, this is still a pretty good time. Let's remember these days while they are here.

Yeah, tbh, I was surprised Dio went first instead of Ozzy. As strungout as Ozzy seems all the time, I would've figured he would've gone first.

I don't mean to be crass, but I think sinking just underneath everyone's thoughts is the overwhelming feeling that it is extremely unfair that given the reputation and nature of both men that Dio is gone and Ozzy remains.

A friend of mine and I both kinda said it at the same time. "Of all people...why Dio and not Ozzy." Ozzy's the one who was drugged out for two decades when he wasn't too drunk to shoot up. His business decisions and all the bad blood he and his wife has created don't inspire much sympathy either.

If you're famous, you should probably avoid hotel rooms. Just sleep in the car.

It is a shame that he's dead, but it's not like Geddy Lee or Tony Choy have lost an equal, is it? Coming so soon after Dio's death, I don't expect anything but mockery from MR's louts.

I do enjoy a few of their songs, though.
