Seriously, just two people had anything remotely nice to say, and one of them is on the reviewing team... I know this forum is populated by jerks at the best of times, but I expect better when welcoming a new guy. Especially cross with Trapt, who generally seems a more mature sort of person.

There's nothing indicating any sense of humour in your post (as usual :P) but even so, a new guy can't be expected to immediately know that wasn't serious. This place is far too introverted sometimes.

Hey guys! Jake here - I'm thrilled to be joining the MetalReviews team. I give you my most solemn promise not to suck. (I also promise not to give A7X an Album of the Year. Did that really happen?)
As to what genres I listen to: Like most people, I think, I listen to all kinds of things, but my passion and expertise are in thrash (above all!) and death metal - as well as, of course, the classics. I'm also well enough versed in black metal, power metal and prog metal, but again, I've got favorite bands all over the genre.
Looking forward to doing more reviews for you guys!
