Hope he feels ok. Can't wait for the album.

By the way, I heard that Ozzy's decided not to work with Zakk for the next album because he thought that his music was beginning to sound too much like BLS. He's got Gus G right now, that would be pretty sweet.

Can't wait to hear some new BLS, they have not let me down yet. I was fortunate enough to see them on the Pedal To The Metal tour over the summer before Zakk got sick.

In regards to Ozzy, the dude needs to retire and I say that as a huge Ozzy fan. It just hurts to hear how much he pales in comparison to his former self.

BLS honestly has never disappointed but then again they've never been something amazing.

The way that he got fired was bullshit, though.

Well Oz has always relied heavily on others for songwriting .. so really it's up to Gus G.

i really liked (and still do) the first two bls albums, but since then i haven't cared much for what they've released. in fairness, i've heard very little from the last 3 albums... i just lost interest after 1919 eternal and the blessed hellride didn't really do anything for me.

ozzy w/ gus g could be very interesting. i hope gus g is allowed to contribute significantly in terms of songwriting. if he's handcuffed by record execs & mngmt the way zakk has been lately, it might not be interesting at all.

Indeed, I remember when Shot To Hell came out back in 2006; and unfortunately I wasn't really impressed with that album. I mean it had its moments but it paled in comparison to Sonic Brew or 1919 Eternal.

Shot to Hell was good. Blessed Hellride was the drop in quality.

I enjoyed most of Blessed Hellride, some of the songs on that album were really killer: Stoned And Drunk, Funeral Bell, Blackened Waters especially. The only bad thing about that album in my opinion was Stillborn being CONSTANTLY played on the radio (still a song I like though, as simple and repetitive as it may be). What did you dislike about it?

Besides Stoned and Drunk, Doomsday Jesus, Suffering Overdue and Funeral Bell it was all bland.

I was pretty underwhelmed at the time also. I think it was down to every second track being a ballad. Don't get me wrong, I dig his ballads, but I think it worked better if its either an album of rockin' tunes with a coupel ballads or even the opposite. Half and half just didn't work for me.

Its still full of cool tunes though.

As for the argument of his best album. I vote Mafia.
