I'd feel a little more sorry for him if I actually knew who he was, and if his last name wasn't 'Cocks'.

I knew someone wasn't going to post anything without mentioning that.

And probably there is going to be 2 pages at least of Cocks jokes but overall even though I have never heard of this band it's sad to see someone succumb to cancer so sad.

Sadly, this was my first thought as well.

Ah yes I forgot about the original twinge of concern.

No-one's heard of Rose Tattoo? ! I have, and it's hardly my favourite sort of music.

I have never heard of Rose Tattoo, but it is always sad to hear someone lose their personal battle against cancer. May he rest in peace.

Yeah, I know Rose Tattoo. AC/DC hard rock style, good but nothing really memorable.

RIP.

Great band! They came out in the late 70's after AC/DC had already made a huge name for themselves. They are pretty much in the same vein as Powerage/Let There Be Rock type of AC/DC. Very heavy blues influence with a more punkier edge than AC/DC and the lead singer Angry Anderson sounds a lot like a much younger Rod Stewart. Their first 2 albums are excellent, the debut and Assault and Battery. Guns N' Roses covered one of their songs (Nice Boys) on their G'N'R Lies EP and I believe someone else covered Rock'N Roll Outlaw. It's basically fun/party hard rock 'n roll with some excellent slide guitar leads by the dearly departed Mr. Cocks. There's a brief synopsis for ya!
