Looking forward to what Black Metal's best songwriter will come up with next.

I think this is great. I love bands that take time off after an album to reflect and perhaps see what they can do next to explore their sound. I think Scar Symmetry is due for a break like this, at least a few years.

Can't wait to see what they come up with. I'd love to hear a sort of industrial influence like Aborym or something like that blended with Satyricon's own sound. I think they could do very cool things.

Blargh. Satyricon hasn't made a good album since Nemesis Divinia, so I'm not expecting much from this little interval.

Rebel Extravaganza was far, far better.

I agree. I love Animatronic and SETI. I wish they'd make a new album. =(

As for Satyricon not making a good album since Nemesis, that's a total lie. That's some I'm stuck underground BS right there.

I just find their 'new sound' bland, is all.

Me too.
Although, I consider Rebel Extravaganza to be their last decent album.

Last night I went to their last performance on the Age of Nero tour, and Satyr talked of taking 'a short break'. So I guess they'll be fine.

If Rebel Extravaganza is the sort of thing Satyricon does when they go transitional, we can expect a quality album.

Satyricon is just an awesome band man. They know what they're doing.

satyricon has become one of my favorite bands -- because of volcano, now diabolical, and age of nero. i've aquired a taste and appreciation for their earlier work, and consider their cataloge one of the strongest and most adventurous compaired to their contemporaries. satyr and frost seem like two supremely confident and driven musicians, and appear to have no concern for public opionion or expectations. that's refreshing, and it causes me to wait eagerly for the next thing they have to offer. it'll certainly be dark, but beyond that, i have no idea what to expect.
