Dream Theater need to get a singer who knows more than one tone.

Hm. Astley might work. Haha.

Labrie's voice sounds the same. All the time.

Not really, unless you mean that he always sounds like the same person, which he does.

You're right. And it's been slowly 'withering' over time.

I'm not liking his voice as it is now as much as it was then, but he doesn't sound the same all the time.

Maybe when laden with effects... or back when he actually had the capability to scream, like on Awake. But them days are over.

Yes. Because if a singer can only sing, then he needs replacing. Ah, but if he can scream... the possibilities are endless.

It's not that, Zaddo; it's just that the singer is as worn out as the band he's in. Not to mention he doesn't suit the more 'metal' direction that Dream Theater's been drifting towards.

Of course, if your post wasn't an attempt at being snarky in a clandestine way, you can ignore my response.

Worn out in your opinion only; DT's last was their best in years.

...did anyone else notice at around 2:55 there's this lead that comes in with basically the first 6 notes of Zelda's Lullaby from Ocarina of Time? Seems too exact to be that much of a coincidence.

Also on the song: it's very boring compared to what Dream Theater is capable of looking at Metropolis (IMO)

Wither is a fine song. DT's last is awesome as usual, they don't have a bad album.

That's what their bass player looks like haha, John Myung always seems to be hidden, awesome bass player though. I read elsewhere where many fans were calling it the best filmclip ever wtf? it's more like a tour diary with music.
Would love to see a clip for "The Shattered Fortress" what a kick ass song.
