Great news! :dio: Good work by Elias and Kyle this week.

By the way, Elias is FrigidSymphony, right? Any plans for some Mago de Oz reviews? :D

Yep, it's me. Mago de Oz somehow completely vanished from my radar, but it would definitely be a worthwhile endeavour to review some of their stuff. Thanks for the reminder, glad you liked my work!

Kyle here, thanks for the compliment! I'm enjoying the job so far. :D I think I need to work on writing shorter reviews though...

With you writing I think we'll see a lot more interesting discussions with people disagreeing with your reviews.

Try not to overrate the new Sonata Arctica when it comes out. That is unless it doesn't suck.

I look forward to creating debate.

And as long as Tony's writing lyrics and singing, nothing made by Sonata Arctica could ever go below 70. That's just how good Tony is.

Whether you like it or not, post-grunge has a place on this site along with the Foo Fighters. In the future expect some Silverchair, Collective Soul, and possibly even Nickelback.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no...

At least Dave Grohl played in some Metal projects. There's absolutely no reason to review any of that.

Have you heard Silverchair? They're heavy as fuck. Furthermore, using musician's side projects as a reason for validating stuff that isn't strictly metal is bullshit. Metal is a wide enough genre to be able to cope with diverging interpretations of what it means.

I'm not even sure why Foo Fighters was reviewed, to be honest, and in my opinion it shouldn't have been. And God forbid I sound like some elitist, but Silver Chair (no matter how heavy they are), Collective Soul, and Nikelback should not be on a metal site. You can't even use that weak excuse of "Hey, they influenced a lot of metal bands!" There is just no reason to review Nikelback at all.

No reason apart from the fact that IMO they're a good band who deserve recognition for their musical abilities? I mean, you can disagree with me on their abilities, but that should be reason enough, no?

There're a lot of non metal reviews here. I think some more it's not a problem. Said that, I prefer old Grunge to new grunge, Soundgarden is far better than any post-grunge band, including Foo fighters (and I liked The Colour & The Shape).

And Nickleback suxx a lot, and if you review it, I'd say it in the review's thread, you can be sure.

Oh, fuck off. Reviewing that shit is abusing your power as a reviewer.
