Oh, another Nile album. Fantastic. Remember, find your niche and then exploit the hell out of it even as your songwriting skills deteriorate.

Karl Sanders released a new solo album btw. Saurian Exorcisms. I suggest you all to check it out.

Saurian Meditation was enjoyable, so I'll heed your call on this one Dago.

This sounds great. I enjoyed Ithyphallic a lot despite what I've heard from people.

All I heard off Ithyphallic was Even the Gods Must Die, which was fucking incredible, epic in the vein of Unas.

I really don't get why people dislike Ithyphallic. Sure, it's more of the same, but when that same is awesome, who really cares?

I think Nile switching to a 'more of the same' model is kind of hypocritical considering the initial state of innovation but clearly nobody else on the planet shares this view.

Poor songwriting on Ithyphallic, I found.

Ithyphallic was ok. We can count on Nile to deliver a few kickass tracks every album but I'm not expecting an ITDS again.

Another thing that pissed me off about Ithyphallic (apart from paying for a 'special edition' that turned out to have bonus tracks that were the songs with the vocals taken off, the scum) was the crappy booklet. None of Sanders' interesting song explanations, which really gave the other albums an intellectual layer. For all we know, he could have been making the whole Ithyphallic thing up.
