Guitar player who only contributed to one album... Can't place it. Oh well.

Maybe, might be a different band altogether though. Sorry, I'm having a blackout.

I've given up on Queensryche. They haven't produced anything good post Empire and their failed attempt to capture old glory with OMII proves that they aren't interested in going back to their roots.

Their sound is boring and Geoff Tate one of the greatest vocalist in metal now sounds tired and worn out. He doesn't deliver that powerful emotional tone he was once famous for.

I'm sure this is going to be yet another lackluster release from them. I agree bring back Degarmo and let the band start producing some better quality material.

Promised Land ranks upon my fav' with Rage for Order and Empire.
And Hear in the Now Frontier (despite its lousy production) is still a good album. The last good album Queensrÿche has ever released sadly.

I do agree that Geoff Tate does not sound like he used to before. I own 4 Queensryche albums, OM I&II, Empire and a Greatest Hits one. I like them all, OM II included. I heard Promised Land is a little dark. That maybe the next one I am picking up. As for this album, I guess I will just wait and see.
